ice house

The view from the eighth floor of the Premier Apartments Ice House, Nottingham is phenomenal to say the least…

My recent stay there was most certainly enhanced by the breath taking view I was lucky enough to enjoy from the penthouse windows, which wrapped around the entire living area of the apartment.

The welcome we received upon arrival was very warm and smiley.  Brydie asked us to sign a form, gave us our keys and showed us how to access the main doors by keypad.

The car park was easy access via key pad again and plenty of parking spaces to choose from belonging to the site.

The lift took us up to the penthouse suite, which on first reaction was spacious and boy were we high up!

With an open plan living room and kitchen, the serviced apartment was generous in size and very modern, with chrome kitchen appliances and a quick heating, easy to use electric oven.

Our apartment was two bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and storage space, one room with ensuite and power shower- the main bathroom contained a bath and shower.

Additional features found in the apartment, was an Ipod docking station, DVD player PLUS as we had the ‘night –in’ package, we were also excited to find a large Margarita pizza and a bottle of wine in our fridge with a box of chocolates, some snacks and a welcome card on the kitchen surface- nice touch!

The view across Nottingham expanded directly up London Road and at night was pretty breath taking, with Nottingham life passing us by every minute- more entertaining to watch than the television.

We were given the key to the balcony, which we felt should be experienced, but as high as it was, wasn’t my most favourite part of the stay!

Relaxing on the settees, watching TV, enjoying our pizza, wine and snacks most certainly was a nice welcome after a hard day at the office, knowing we weren’t far away from any amenities was also comforting.

Automatic gates let us out of the car park the following morning, as we departed armed with our breakfast boxes containing croissants, healthy snacks & orange juice.

A satisfying stay giving a metropolitan, bird’s eye view of Nottingham, I’d recommend for out of towners staying for both business and pleasure given the reasonable pricing, great for groups out partying in the city, as well as a place to stay if you simply want a cost effective change of scenery for the night.

The night for 2 package we enjoyed normally costs £18.50, but other packages are available including:
