IT Company Takes Up The Challenge

15 members of the Your IT Team have signed up to the 16 mile walk around beautiful Charnwood countryside taking place in September. Challengers tackle Bardon Hill (Leicestershire’s highest point), Old John in Bradgate and Beacon Hill to raise funds for the long standing Leicester charity.

Craig Pearson, Sales & Marketing Director of Your IT said “We’ve been to a few of the Charity Link events and when we heard about the 3 Peaks Challenge I thought there was no chance any of our guys would be interested. Unfortunately they have called my bluff and I’ve now had to dig out my hiking boots and make a attempt to improve my fitness! Seriously though it’s a fantastic charity and my path has crossed with Charity Link a number of times over the years. This seemed like a really good challenge and a way to raise money to help them in the work that they do.”

Charity Link help provide local people with adequate food, shelter and the means to keep warm, clean and rested – no matter what difficulty they may be facing. They do this by finding funding to provide the essential items that everyone deserves. Every £10 donated unlocks £50 from charitable trusts and every single penny goes to help local people and children in need.

Susan McEniff, CEO of Charity Link said: “We are delighted to be welcoming such a large team from Your IT Department to this year’s Leicestershire 3 Peaks Challenge.  With the increase in need we are seeing due to the cost of living crisis, we need the help of the local community more than ever this year, so their support of the Challenge is hugely appreciated. Teams who’ve entered in previous years tell us it is a great team-building experience. We hope the Your IT colleagues taking part have a great time, knowing that the funds they raise will help to provide essential items, including food, help with utilities, beds and white goods to local people in need.”
