Christmas Menu at Prezzo Italian
I don’t think I have ever had a more festive Italian meal than the one I enjoyed at Prezzo in Nottingham recently…
It was a dreary Monday teatime and my husband and I ventured out of the house to sample the new Christmas menu at the Nottingham based Prezzo located on Foreman Street, arriving to a warm welcome from their friendly team, we were offered a choice of seating to which we chose the most festively decorated area and off we went to scan the menu.
Drinks came in the form of a Victorian style lemonade and the most Christmassy cocktail I could find- a Cherry Bakewell containing Amaretto.
The menu was more than ample, with festive twists on some of their most popular dishes, which was great to see. For starters we opted for the Hot Honey Glazed Giant Mozzarella Sticks (with Marinara sauce and basil pesto) and the Hummus and Flatbread (I try to go for protein bases dishes where I can being a vegetarian).
For main, I went for the Mushroom Ravioli, which was a generous portion and my dining partner dived straight into the Christmas Calzone, which by the way had to be the biggest dish on the menu by far! The calzone was a festive medley of turkey, mozzarella, brie, crispy stuffing and believe it or not they even managed to cram in a few pigs in blankets, served with cranberry ketchup and a side salad – epic.
When it was time for dessert, we had traditional Tiramisu and I was delighted to see they had Lemon Meringue on the menu, a firm favourite of mine, so that made my choice easy.
With the combination of the open kitchen, vibrant atmosphere and excellent Christmas soundtrack, I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will most definitely return.
