BIBI Art of Repair
Amina, owner and Founder of Bibi Art of Repair is someone I have known for a couple of years now, having met whilst networking. I remember listening to her story and love for everything natural and organic when it comes to skincare and how she was in the process of formulating her own skincare range, using pure organic ingredients and recall her passion was so apparent that I was of course intrigued, given my personal love for natural skincare and treatments.
Fast forward two years and Amina and I reconnected – once again through networking and she very kindly invited me to visit her new salon located in Mapperley, Nottingham to experience one of her advanced skin treatments- The Glass Skin Facial. The name alone got my attention, Powered by HydroDiamond and LED Therapy, this facial incorporates several elements with the intention of transforming your skin to leave a smooth, clear, radiant glow, whilst deeply cleansing hydrating and restoring its texture.
What I loved about this facial was that it is suitable for all skin types such as dull, dehydrated, uneven tone and/or ageing skin, providing and maintaining glow and who doesn’t want to glow?
Taking a step back for a moment, it’s worth giving a shout out to the amount of effort Amina has put into making the salon space what it is- a cosy haven of luxury, with an Arab-Mediterranean fusion interior- think neutral coloured drapes and furnishings, gold accessories and the attention to detail you can’t not appreciate, such as the quaint glass cups and teapot my peach tea was served in post treatment.
As I lay on the couch, I was covered in a heated blanket and immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. Amina is very knowledgeable, given she has spent over twenty years in the industry and has spent years of study, research and meticulous testing in a relentless pursuit to create products that are gentle, effective and kind for both skin and the planet- a true inspiration and a lovely person who has been a pleasure to get to know.
Bibi Art of Repairs products range from skincare and haircare to body care, with bundles and gift sets also available to purchase at her salon and the packaging alone is eye catching with the use of environmentally friendly glass casing, showcasing the beautiful gold branding.
The Glass skin Facial is available as a one-off treatment or as a course with prices ranging from £140.00 to £380.00 for a course of three and other specialist treatments available include Skin Care Microneedling with EFG Mesotherapy, as well as other more relaxation-based facials such as her Radiance Jelly Mask Facial and Clarifying Clay Ritual. Amina also now offers Japanese Head Massages and actually has two couches side by side for those who prefer couples’ treatments or those who may like to enjoy with a friend, as well as offering Skin Analysis Consultations priced at £30 – a very useful session to undertake to determine what treatment may best suit your skin.
Following my one hour facial, my skin felt so clean and smooth and my makeup went on considerably better when applied the next day, not to mention how relaxed I felt having made some time for myself within my very busy world- something I recommend we all do once in a while and I can’t think of anyone better to put my trust in when it comes to skincare and facial treamtents than Amina.
