The Mojito box comes with everything you need to create Mojitos for yourself, delivered right to your table…
In true Revolution style, this innovative idea really does work- gone are the days of waiting at the bar for your one cocktail to be made up for you, now you can pre-order your ‘Mojito Box’ to be ready for you on your table, for when you arrive at Revolution, Hockley with your friends and..well make them yourself!
There are enough ingredients in the rustic style crate to make up fourteen Mojitos and you can choose from flavours including Raspberry and basil, passion fruit and strawberry and not forgetting the all-time ‘classic’ mojito.
Contained in the box is the main ingredient- a bottle of Bacardi rum, accompanied by the fruit purees, mint and basil leaves, fresh lemon, lime, soda water and sugar, all encased in attractive glass bottles and jars.
The ‘tools’ are also provided and thankfully a very enthusiastic member of staff was on hand to do a demonstration and show us exactly how to use them – mixologist I am not, so this was gratefully received and I have to say I came away learning some technical terms I can now show off to my friends with, as I now know what a jigger is used for and how important it is to slap an rim the mint!
Once the demo was done, we were then left to our own devises and wow what fun we had, taking it in turns to mix up our own cocktails, but of course you can mix for each other too, or even all at the same time- the limits are endless! We made singles/doubles/triples- yes we were enjoying the freedom of the measuring jigger and a roaming bottle of rum on our table, so it’s safe to say by the end of the night we were – well ready for a takeaway and bed!
The ‘Mojito Box’ costs £95 and makes up fourteen cocktails, so by my calculations that is just £6.78 per drink and this included the heap of fun you will have in the process- well worth it and I would highly recommend for a group of friends or even for an alternative way of entertaining clients in a private booth, perhaps combined with a selection of food platters by Revolution.
